Mentagicka Maxium Full Release


Mmk so made a ton of changes as well as making a game that doesn't crash after a certain point. Yes, it's insanely hard but I need more feedback so I know what to change.

Changes

-Starting magicka regen is higher by 1

-Starting health is 1000 instead of 500

-Spell Level System is implemented. The more dudes you kill, the more XP you get and at intervals of 100, 200, 400 and 800, your spell level goes up. Based on spell level, all spells do more damage but some spells get additional effects based on spell level

-Enemies do 2x as much damage but fire half as many shots to reduce lag

-All spells have a maximum lifespan of 5 seconds to reduce lag

-Fireball now does 20% base damage as AOE damage to nearby enemies to give it extra tactical usage

-Added Shatter Cannon. A powerful but expensive Arcane Cannon. Deals heavy damage directly, followed by a nasty explosion. It's perfect for clearing out large numbers of enemies.

-Making upgrades cost a little more for every purchase. Reduced "upgrade cost increase" to 5 instead of 10 because sweet lord this game is hard enough

-Elite enemies (red dudes) fire fireballs that travel faster, do more damage but no longer home in on player

-Spawn system has SpawnPoints that are equal to the current wave. Harder enemies reduce these points. Example: Normal enemies cost 1 point, Elite Enemies cost 2, bosses cost 10 and only spawn at waves 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50. In later waves, I replaced normal enemies with dudes 5x harder who take away 5x as many points to help reduce game clutter

-Added Elites tier 2 that fire javelin magicka rockets that are kinda unfair but at this point you're probably hard to kill...hopefully

-Enemies now delete parent object when they die instead of letting it self-terminate after 2 minutes to reduce data clutter

-Moved reticule to be more accurate of where shots go

-Wave timer caps at 60 seconds

To be changed

-More enemies

-More spells like the Arcane Maxium, which converts all current mana into damage but permanently lowers magicka regen by 1 and more defensive/utility spells as well. Like invisible enemies that leave behind a tiny trail on the ground but shooting up flares reveals them. 

-More dynamic gameplay so it's not so repetitive

-More bug fixes like getting my enemies to stop traveling through the floor

-I still don't know if this game can be beaten...
